Level 1, 5 Eliza St, Newtown 

After five years in a loft warehouse, a decade in an old strip club, 505 music has moved to the historic ballroom of the original Newtown School of the Arts at 5 Eliza Street Newtown where people can immerse themselves intimately with the performers in a focused, concert style environment. There is a full bar available. A range of food options are available just moments away on Newtown’s King Street. Access is best via foot or bike, train (Newtown Station) or by bus.

Rediscover the site of the legendary jazz joint, The Basement operating this year as the festival hub. Mary’s has kept all of the charm of the original Basement, with a few upgrades that has given the venue a contemporary aesthetic. The venue is located minutes from Circular Quay Wharf and train station, with buses nearby. Mary’s famous burgers are available from the upstairs diner open on Tues – Sat and serving until late. There are also a range of dining options around Reiby Place, The Rocks and Circular Quay.

Join us for the opening night of the Sydney International Women’s Jazz Festival at The Australian Institute of Music’s John Painter Hall on Friday October 30th with a night of Latin Jazz. The hall is a beautifully refurbished theatre with raked seating and in accordance with COVID restrictions it can fit 140 people. Drinks and canapés will be available in the outside area from 6.00pm. When seated the drinks will come to you.
